Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Calming Facial.

Yes. The Calming Facial is designed for sensitive, acne-prone skin using non-comedogenic, soothing formulas and gentle techniques. We customize treatments, perform patch tests when needed, and avoid harsh exfoliants to reduce breakouts while calming inflammation and redness.

A typical Calming Facial session lasts about 45 to 60 minutes, including consultation, gentle cleansing, a soothing mask, targeted serum application, and finishing hydration. Treatment time adjusts to skin needs and client comfort for optimal calming results.

Aftercare includes avoiding direct sun, hot showers, intense exercise, and strong exfoliants for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleanser, fragrance-free moisturizer, and SPF. Apply any recommended calming serums and contact us if irritation or prolonged redness persists.

If you plan both services, avoid scheduling them back-to-back. We recommend waxing at least 48 hours before a Calming Facial, or waiting 48 hours after a facial before waxing to minimize irritation and protect sensitive skin.

We use hypoallergenic, fragrance-free formulations with calming ingredients like aloe, chamomile, oat extracts, and hyaluronic acid. Strong acids, retinoids, and abrasive scrubs are avoided. A patch test can be performed to ensure product compatibility with your sensitive skin.

For maintenance and lasting hydration, schedule a Calming Facial every four to six weeks. More frequent visits may be suggested initially for flare-ups; your esthetician will tailor frequency based on skin response and your home care routine.
