Get answers to common questions about Full Back Wax.
A Full Back Wax typically takes 20–45 minutes depending on hair density and client comfort. New clients may allow extra time for consultation and prep. Your technician works efficiently while ensuring thorough, comfortable hair removal and proper aftercare instructions.
Waxing does not make hair grow back thicker or darker. It removes hair from the root, so regrowth often appears finer and sparser over time. Consistent waxing can reduce overall density, though individual results depend on genetics and hair cycle.
Before your appointment, shower and exfoliate the back gently, and ensure hair is about a quarter-inch long for proper removal. Avoid sunburn, heavy lotions, retinoids, or exfoliating treatments 48–72 hours prior. Arrive clean and wearing loose clothing for comfort.
After waxing, avoid hot showers, saunas, intense exercise, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free moisturizers and a cooling gel if needed. Begin light exfoliation after 72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smooth results.
Waxing can be suitable for sensitive skin and mild back acne, but a patch test is recommended. Inform your technician about acne, medications, or skin conditions. We may adjust technique or recommend alternatives; severe acne or open lesions should be assessed by a dermatologist first.
Most clients schedule Full Back Wax appointments every four to eight weeks based on individual hair growth. Regular waxing often lengthens time between sessions as regrowth becomes finer; your technician will recommend an ideal schedule during consultation.
